This beautiful White Opal lights up with intense play-of-color, offering a vivid 360-degree visual display. Fashioned as an elongated oval cabochon and sourced from Ethiopia, one of the world's foremost producers of exceptional Opal, this impressive example features a compelling combination of broad and chaff patterning, creating a richly dimensional presentation. Broad swaths of tightly compacted color sweep across the surface as the stone is moved and viewed, with all spectral hues boldly revealed. The vibrant "fire" stands out brilliantly against the translucent white background color, which is further enhanced by a subtle blue undertone. Expertly polished, the Opal is shaped with a medium dome on the primary face and a slightly convex base, complemented by a beveled girdle. As expected in a natural Opal of this size, the dome is slightly asymmetrical, with one end rising higher than the other; otherwise, the gemstone is in excellent condition, displaying a smooth, even polish. White Opals exhibiting large-scale patterning with full face-up coverage and strong play-of-color are increasingly rare, and when paired with this level of intensity, the result is truly exceptional.
