This offering is one spectacular Ethiopian Opal. The precious stone lights up with intense play-of-color from all viewing directions. Every color on the visible spectrum is represented; even the rarer red and orange hues are present and abundant. The nearly 27-carat stunner features an elongated oval shape with an even polish all the way around. This true collector specimen displays a slightly golden-yellow background color, and the stone is mostly opaque. The unique bodycolor creates a lovely canvas for the "fire" to dance across each polished surface. The vibrant Opal features a compact broad patchwork and rainbow pattern visible over every surface, making this one sought-after gemstone. The well-cut cabochon has a medium dome, rounded girdle and is in excellent condition. This is a knockout gem and must be viewed in person to grasp its true beauty.
