Weighing 23.46 carats, this heat-treated Ethiopian Opal features a rich blue-toned bodycolor achieved through heating-providing a dramatic backdrop for its exceptional 360-degree play-of-color. The oval-shaped cabochon displays a mesmerizing, striated pattern with tight flashes of red, green, and blue, visible from nearly every angle. There is a rather large area of potch on the reverse though this does not affect the stunning field of color on the primary display surface. Almost entirely opaque, with a medium dome, this is a striking and sizable example, perfect for a standout jewelry setting or simply for display.
