A mesmerizing Ethiopian Opal, this oval cabochon evokes the night sky with an intricate and highly concentrated, Welo broadflash pattern of neon blue, green, purple, yellow, and even rare red play-of-color on the primary face. Having undergone acceptable heat treatment, this glowing Opal does not disappoint with an opaque and dark background hue. Expertly polished on both sides, the stone features a medium dome, a beveled girdle, and a slightly convex base. The reverse base also displays a linear chaff pattern with mostly blue, green, and red hues. Weighing just over 23 carats, the sizable Opal is fully covered in 'fire' and in pristine condition.
