Opals from Ethiopia are fast becoming a favorite of collectors. This popularity is due to the range of patterns and intense play-of-color. This beautiful jelly-type, 12.95-carat pear-shaped beauty boasts a tightly arranged honeycomb pattern that lights up with electric green, blue, and purple hues accented by bright yellow and red hues as well. This top example is in excellent condition and features a medium-dome and a rounded girdle. The play-of-color is evident on all polished surfaces; this one lights up with 360-degree 'fire.'
