G Harvey was born and raised in his beloved Texas. Harvey never strayed far from that which inspired him with his paintings and sculptures both reflect that state's romantic landscapes and peoples. The artist's work was exhibited in some of the most famed galleries in the world including The Smithsonian and The Grand National Exhibition in 1965 (where he won the New Master's Award). Harvey died in 2017, leaving a legacy of achingly beautiful landscape paintings, evocative bronzes, and above all else, a lasting love for his native Texas.
