    Among architect Paul Rudolph's most ambitious projects was the penthouse he designed for himself at 23 Beekman Place in New York City. The triplex was an experiemental structure formed of dozens of levels and spaces, with custom furniture designed by Rudolph for use throughtout the house. After Rudolphs death, the house was bought by leading 20th century design and architecture collectors and experts Michael and Gabrielle Boyd, who began restoring the house. This custom sofa remained in the Boyd's personal collection for many years.



    Condition Report*: Overall good condition and structurally sound, with scattered minor losses to enamel throughout, and wear to leather upholstery consistent with moderate use.
