    A VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT EBONIZED AND PAINTED MAHOGANY CABINET, in the manner of Thomas Edward Collcutt, (English, 1840-1924), circa 1870
    82 x 42 x 17-1/2 inches (208.3 x 106.7 x 44.5 cm)

    The cabinet with raised cornice surmounted by parapet of urn-form supports above four panels painted with flowers, centered with two vertical doors with painted panels of a man and woman in Renaissance style attire, flanked to either side with mirrored panels and shelves with turned vertical supports, the base with one long and two short drawers above two vertical doors with painted roundels of a man and women, over a single long drawer, the whole supported with shaped galleried horizontal panel joining turned legs.


    Condition Report*: With surface scratches commensurate with age, two of the front right facing cabinet doors have shrinkage cracks.
