The rectangular top with a single frieze drawer with a wooden pull below is supported on shaped legs featuring carved nautilus-form design in relief, terminating in carved feet and joined at the base by a turned stretcher and enhanced by a floral device and rondelles on the front panel.
Records indicate that this was also purchased with the Vargueno which was inventory number 4257 from the Hearst Corporation.

Heavy wear and wormholing to the top, was likely used as a base for chests throughout the years, rich patina throughout, age related cracks and wormholing throughout, wear indicative of age and use.
