PROPERTY FROM THE RITTER ANTIK COLLECTION Wilhelm Kimbel, one of the most important South German Biedermeier master cabinetmakers among hundreds, created two more versions of this model, all in walnut on pine with high relief winged eagles. One examples was made for Napoleon Bonaparte's stepdaughter Hortence de Beauharnais, and another was made for a client in Seeheim/South Germany which is identical to the above as illustrated pg. 297 Dr. Zinnkann's dissertation 1985.
