    Mrs. Claude "Helene" Arpels, New York;

    Louis Bofferding, New York

    A former model, Mrs. Claude "Helene" Arpel married Louis Arpels, of Van Cleef & Arpel). After divorcing in the 1950's, Helene opened a Madison Avenue shop that sold luxurious shoes and handbags. The shop later moved to Park avenue and closed close to the time of Helene Arpel's death.
