    A Continental Baroque-Style Carved Giltwood Console Table with Marble Top, 19th century

    The console table with rouge marble top, above an apron with foliage and C-scrolls centering a female mask to front, with shell and acanthus leaf motifs centered to apron sides, each S-scrolled leg is headed by acanthus leaves terminating on a hoofed foot.



    Condition Report*: Slightly unstable structurally, fine stable hairline cracks and fine scratches to marble surface inherent to stone and indicative with use, chip to one corner of marble, some flaking to gilt surface throughout especially near feet, loss of carved giltwood to apron and along one side of both legs exposing wood substrate to backside.
