    To whom it may concern:

Fritz Scholder and I have been friends since we first met as teachers at I.A.I.A. (Institute of American Indian Arts), Santa Fe in the 1960's.

On a visit with Fritz in the 80's I said to him that his signature was a work of art, could he sign a blank sheet for me. He id that but said he would never sign a blank sheet so he ran a drop of pigment from top to bottom of the piece. I loved it!

    M. Holbrook, 10/19/21
