    An extensive, near complete set of Frank Lloyd Wright's seminal Wasmuth portfolio with a rare example of the "Studies and Executed Buildings" pamphlet. A rare first edition of the American printing, most of which was lost in the fires at Taliesin. This portfolio is widely considered the most influential architectural publication of the 20th century.

    Condition Report*: A rare example of this influential portfolio with 71 (of 72) plates and 28 tissue overlays. Plates, printed in several different ink colors, generally present very well with wear as expected with age and handling. Toning to paper throughout, some creasing and chipping to margins, several plates with minor tears not affecting adorned areas. Tissue overlays originally adhered to upper margins of corresponding plate with many now separated. Minor tears, chips and edges to margins of overlays and some flaking throughout. Cloth binding to both portfolios broken and flaking, missing cover to Volume 2.
