This striking mass mortality plate features seven complete and one partial Cyphaspis walteri preserved on branching columns of gray sedimentary rock, forming a naturally dramatic grouping. Although small in size, each Trilobite exhibits impressive detail, with jet-black shells standing out clearly against the lighter matrix. Long, delicate spines extend outward in all directions, giving the piece a lively and energetic appearance. The clustered arrangement suggests a single moment preserved on the Devonian seafloor. Both visually engaging and scientifically interesting, this plate offers a vivid look at these very intricate Trilobites, often referred to as the "Devil Horned" variety.
