Quadrops flexuosa from the Lower Devonian of Morocco is among the most visually distinctive Trilobites of the Paleozoic seas, recognized for its dramatic silhouette and elaborate genal spines. This relatively smaller example exhibits a deep jet-black exoskeleton set in appealing contrast against a gray matrix, enhancing both stability and presentation. Numerous curved genal spines project from the body, and the specimen notably preserves the uncommon beginnings of regrowth on one spine, tangible evidence of injury and survival in an ancient marine environment.
