This remarkable Trilobite of the genus Koneprusia comes from the Devonian deposits of Morocco and is known for its dramatic, spiny appearance. The specimen is delicate and highly detailed, with long spines extending outward and curling back toward the body, creating an intricate, almost lace-like outline. It is mounted on a rocky base and set at a slight angle, giving the impression that it is moving across the ancient seafloor. The deep black shell shows fine detail across the head, body segments, and tail, reflecting the careful work required to prepare such a fragile fossil. Both eye-catching and unusual, this example highlights the bold and sometimes visually complex forms of Trilobites that developed during the Devonian Period.
