From the celebrated Devonian fossil beds of Jorf, this finely preserved Cyphaspides Trilobite represents one of the most distinctive species from this prolific Moroccan site. Specimens from Jorf are renowned for their exceptional preservation and the unique colorless Calcite host rock, which often takes on subtle tones from the surrounding matrix. This example displays excellent anatomical definition, characteristic of the locality's fine-grained preservation, and offers a superb representation of the Lower Devonian marine fauna of North Africa. The fossil is mounted on a wooden base and protected beneath a glass cloche, enhancing both presentation and protection. A notable and elegant specimen, illustrating the remarkable quality of trilobite material now emerging from the Jorf deposits.
