    Petrified Wood Slab

    Walker County, Texas
    8.07 x 7.28 x 0.57 inches (20.50 x 18.50 x 1.45 cm)

    A Dicot is a broad leaf tree no longer represented in the flora of Texas. This colorful, at least in terms of earthy tones, piece has a really unique shape with one edge "fanning out" from the core. This Miocene aged specimen has a reflective polished surface of brown, beige, and cream mixing together which are outlined by a fine tan border terminating in the sharp and quite irregular "bark" edging of this fine slice. Hailing from Texas, this piece is not only attractive but from a less common location for Petrified Wood.
