This is another relatively long fossil log which exceeds two feet in length. This piece shows no repairs - quite uncommon for a specimen of this size. There are several knots on this log which makes it a true collector piece. The McDermitt area of Oregon is well-known for producing petrified wood material which includes the varieties of cherry, hackberry, dogwood, hickory and ash among others. This Locust log is polished on one end which displays its beautiful warm and earthy color pallete of light and dark browns, orangey hues and even black veining.
Log - 26 inches (66.04 cm).
Polished end - 4 x 3.25 inches (10.16 x 8.26 cm).
