    Petrified Wood Bookends
    Araucarioxylon arizonicum
    Triassic
    Chinle Formation
    Arizona, USA

    This exceptional pair of Petrified Wood bookends features a unique "face," as the pattern of both pieces is a virtual perfect mirror image in color and pattern. The thick pieces are robust and heavy, with hues of pink, purple, blue, red, orange, brown, yellow and white intermixed across the smooth, polished surface. The fossil material dates to the Triassic Period and has preserved the original internal structuring of the organic tree exactly as it was when it died. These are big and beautiful, with the added bonus of being highly functional as well.
    Overall Measurements: 11.93 x 2.60 x 10.24 inches (30.30 x 6.60 x 26.00 cm)
