    Triassic
    Chinle Formation

    There are not enough superlatives to describe this pair of "rainbow" Petrified Wood bookends from Arizona. At over a foot tall, the matching set are magnificent for their sheer size, but it is the vibrant and fiery coloration that makes this fine example of the 200 million year old material so truly special. The polished surface is covered with large patches of magenta punctuated with accents of blue and white. The core and periphery are swirls of reddish-orange and mustard yellow. The "burnt" rind adds flair to the already impressive set which are strudy enough to hold up most any books. This is a classic pair of phenomenal Petrified Wood from the quintessential American locality for the ancient wood remnants.
    Overall Measurements: 15.94 x 2.38 x 11.88 inches (40.5 x 6.00 x 30.2 cm)
