The most typical and iconic form of Hermanophyton Petrified Wood, this slab measuring 5 inches (13 cm), is simply a classic. The preserved xylem structure serves as the core of the piece, with the characteristic pattern radiating out from the center. More colorful overall than most, yet still primarily light in hue, this slice has an outer banding with a grainy appearance that is also visually complex. Larger than a drink coaster, this fossil truly does represent Lapidary Art. This type of wood is extremely rare and highly collectible.
