    A unique and beautiful specimen of Petrified Wood, from Arizona, this slab of conifer has an irregular oval shape with an intriguing mix of colors and patterns. Swirling circles of brown and tan provide the backdrop for this piece with pockets of soft blue and mauve pink adding accents to the broad polished surface of this example that can be installed on a wall, or used as a tabletop. The piece is large but also captivating in its complicated appearance. There is chaos and at the same time balance in this piece, as though it were a work on contemporary art. It is a work of art, but just of the natural and polished kind.
