The irregular shape of this thick slab of Petrified Wood from the renowned Saddle Mountain locality is nearly as appealing as the colorful pattern on its polished face. Dark and light hues of earthy tones mix to result in a bold and mysterious surface. Some odd 'circles' are visible near one edge of the specimen.
