Three beautifully preserved fossil leaves of Davidia antiqua are showcased on this fine slab, each retaining clear venation and natural symmetry with an additional leaf on the reverse. The broad, serrated forms are readily recognizable as ancestors of the modern "Dove Tree" (Davidia involucrata), a living species native to China. Set against a pale Shale matrix, the contrasting russet-brown impressions highlight the delicate structure of the leaves with striking clarity. Dating to the Eocene Epoch, these fossils represent a lineage that bridges ancient floras with species still extant today. Such specimens combine botanical history with exceptional visual appeal, making them prized additions for collectors of fossil plants.
