A rather visibly intriguing piece, this example of prehistoric dentition once belonged in the mouth of an elephantine beast known as a Mastodon. Not only was this Pleistocene creature quite large, but it also had some unique looking teeth like this nice example. With significantly worn caps on the crown of the tooth, the complex example of the "Ice Age" molar has some missing patches of enamel at the gum-line and an elongated root "system". The fossil has a custom wood block and metal pin base that presents this singular form at a dramatic display angle.
