Delicately preserved within a fine-grained Limestone matrix, this diminutive fossil captures a rare example of an ancient pea crab. The specimen's compact body and slender legs are distinctly visible, their reddish-brown impressions standing out against the pale stone. Fossilized crabs of this size are uncommon, their fragile exoskeletons seldom surviving the forces of time and sediment. This piece offers a graceful reminder of the smaller inhabitants that once shared prehistoric seas, their fleeting lives recorded in remarkable detail. This would make a charming and uncommon addition to any fossil collection.
