DescriptionFOSSIL SHARK TOOTH
Morgan River, South Carolina, USA
Although shark teeth are certainly abundant in the fossil record, large and pristine specimens, especially from the ancestral Great White known as Megalodon (literally "big tooth"), are most definitely not common. These large and complete specimens are coveted by collectors and enthusiasts alike. The teeth from this largest prehistoric shark are some of the most recognizable and best known fossils that can be found or collected. It is no surprise that Megalodon had the most powerful bite of any creature that ever lived. This particular pristine specimen, measuring well over a stout five inches, makes it easy to believe that its "original" owner, was a formidable killer, especially given the serrated edges of the tooth. It comes with a custom brass and wood display stand to help showcase this formidable fossil specimen that is sure to impress anyone seeing it.
Overall Measurements: 5.31 x 1.15 x 5.09 inches (13.49 x 2.93 x 12.94 cm)
