Fossils from the quarries of Lebanon typically evidence no restoration, which makes them more "pure" and rustic than other specimens. While a number of varieties are typically found from that locality, this incredible complete fossil shark is truly a one-of-a-kind specimen. The amazing example features a long and slightly undulating body with a pronounced vertebral column and soft tissue impression from head to tail. This is an extremely rare specimen, and the yellowish fossil on the mottled two-tone matrix with dendritic features is dramatic and unquestionably of museum-quality for the variety and locality. A full 11.25 inches (28.56 cm) long, the actual shark is not relatively large but sure makes a huge statement.
