This tooth comes from Archer County, Texas, known for producing exceptional Permian material. An odd type of dentition, the specimen represents a lungfish from the Paleozoic Era. The tooth looks more like it is an entire battery, and the form as well as texture makes it a standout piece. Measuring in at 1.5 inches (3.8 cm), this is no tiny fossil, and its uniqueness coupled with its most unusual form makes it a true find.
