This contemporary table contains a top that is literally millions of years old. The thin, rectangular console-style table consists of an elongated slab of sedimentary rock from the Green River Formation that includes two Priscacara fossil fish as part of the inlaid material. Presented on a custom fitted metal frame, the piece is striking, functional, and a sure conversation starter. Both fossil fish measure 5 inches (13 cm), and the rock boasts a pleasing golden-yellowish tan coloration. The top fits perfectly into the frame as designed, and the piece of furniture is sturdy and heavy when assembled even though it has thin form.
