Out of the quarries of Lebanon, where fossils are extremely natural, often only being cleaned in order to prepare them for display, this matched pair contains a large Nemotonotus longispinus fossil fish flanked by a pair of much smaller examples. The well-preserved, sizable fish measure about 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) from tip to tail and are presented in a light yellowish-tan colored sedimentary matrix. The mirror image blocks have a natural, irregular edge, which evidences remnant saw marks. This duo displays superbly together.
