Green River Formation

This beautifully composed fossil mural showcases three distinct species of prehistoric fish-Diplomystus dentatus, Cockerellites liops, and Knightia eocaena-expertly preserved in fine-grained Limestone from the world-renowned Green River Formation. These species represent a snapshot of an ancient Eocene freshwater ecosystem, preserved in remarkable detail over 50 million years. The specimens have been meticulously prepared to highlight skeletal structures, fin rays, and subtle anatomical features, all arranged in a visually harmonious composition. Set within a custom hardwood frame and fitted with a professional-grade cleat mounting system, the mural is ready for elegant wall display in a home, office, or institutional setting.
