This well-preserved fossil fish from the Green River Formation of Wyoming measures a little under 6.25 inches (15 cm) tip to tail and was expertly restored for display. In a brick of 'classic' sedimentary rock from the renowned locality, complete with a mottled nature, this piece represents the more common Knightia variety-although there is nothing common about this fossil.
