On a yellowish brick of sedimentary matrix from the vaunted Green River Formation, this fossil fish is a Diplomystus. The preserved skeletal remains of the herring-like variety have been expertly prepared to result in a display specimen. The golden-brown fish measures over 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) from tip to tail.
