The partial "skeleton" of this fossilized shell would be of morphological interest, merely due to both the obvious and intriguing shape, but the presence of glassy and sharp golden crystals of Calcite really sets this specimen apart. The placement and excellent growth of the Calcite crystals lend an air of abstract art to this piece, further enhancing it as it glows eerily under Shortwave Ultraviolet light.
