From the unlikely locality of France, this partially cut thick slab representing the starfish Geocoma is one complex offering. Numerous 'tentacled' arms of the ancient echinoderm are interwoven on this plate of mass mortality. This type of starfish populated the prehistoric oceans when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Light in coloration and dull in luster, this rock diorama is full of specimens with the look of worms.
