Description
Fossil "Sea Lily"Seirocrinus subangularis
Jurassic
Posidonienschiefer Formation
Holzmaden, Germany
A "pyritized" Crinoid is one of the most sought after, decorative and elegant of all major fossil varieties. This huge inlay consists of a super singular gold metallic Crinoid attached to a black piece of 'driftwood' in celebration of its pelagic lifestyle. The fossil "flower" is obviously extremely artistic and sits perfectly in the center of the rectangular block that houses it. This is designed to be a work of art, and it delivers on that count for sure. This is fossil material from the classic Holzmaden locality in Germany, which is a top location worldwide producing such fossils. This will be the showpiece in any room, home, or office.
