An absolute classic in terms of an iconic Indiana Crinoid out of the Edwardsville Formation associated with Crawfordsville, this plate is home to three highly detailed and expertly prepared specimens with prominent crowns containing arms with pinnules, elongated stalks which are at least partially present and represents two of the most prolific and popular varieties, namely Macrocrinus and Scytalocrinus. Presented on a rectangular block of hard gray matrix rock, the trio of echinoderms - yes, Crinoids are actually animals rather than plants even though commonly referred to sea lilies due to appearance - makes an elegant work of natural art with their inherently intricate forms and dynamic floral shapes.
