This is THE tooth of this auction. A superb quality T-rex specimen with nearly complete enamel, great coloration, well-defined wear facets, and sharp serrations, this classic slightly mottled brown offering measures an impressive 3.7 inches (9.4 cm) in a straight line. Not surprisingly, from the renowned Hell Creek Formation in Montana, this rather sizable tooth is in incredible condition, with evidence of only minor 'crack fill' that should not really be considered restoration. This is simply a phenomenal, sizable tooth. Anything T-rex is unusually "hot" right now, and this is not only T-rex but supreme quality. Virtually any all-natural T-rex tooth this big and good is deserving of a considerable premium in price. Such teeth are simply in very high demand and, accordingly, do not hit the market often. This is rarefied air.
