Long and nicely tapered, this fossil tooth belonged to Spinosaurus, one of the most fearsome predators of the Cretaceous. The dark enamel preserves fine vertical striations, drawing the eye toward the tip once used to snare prey from river and sea. A cloak of earthy matrix still clings to the base, enhancing the tooth's ancient and untamed character. With its dagger-like silhouette, the specimen calls to mind the monstrous jaws that once haunted the waterways of prehistoric Africa. Both a relic of natural history and a tooth with a touch of menace, this would make a spine-tingling addition to any fossil collection.
