    Spinosaur Dinosaur Claw
    Spinosaurus sp.
    Late Cretaceous
    Kem Kem Group

One of the bigger and better Dinosaur Claw specimens to be seen out of Morocco, this example from the Kem Kem Beds dating to the Late Cretaceous is quite ominous boasting large size, good condition and prominent curvature. The tan-taupe offering measures an intimidating 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) from end to end and is an incredibly visually striking "manus" claw used as the primary tool for killing prey. Restoration appears at the base where the shape was reconstructed to result in the proper form, and the tip exhibits some repair to restore the point of the impressive hand digit. A shallow and elongated marrow groove runs along the curvature of both sides of the fossil remnant. Claws are inherently rare and much less common than teeth, so any larger, quality specimen like this is sure to attract attention.
    Overall Measurements: 6.50 x 2.44 x 1.24 inches (16.50 x 6.20 x 3.15 cm)

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
