Presented with a custom, black metal armature, this single bone represents the tibia from a hadrosaurid dinosaur known as Edmontosaurus. Out of the famous Hell Creek Formation, this grayish-brown offering measures 17 inches (43 cm) in length. The top fans out in shape, tapers in the midsection, and ends in a nice "knuckle" of sorts. Wear to the long bone is minimal, and the fairly solid complete example shows limited visible restoration. This fossil from a duck-billed hadrosaur is a nice collectible size and displays in a dramatic fashion in its secure base. Some of the outer "skin" of the bone has weathered away, but the core shape and form are unmistakable as a tibia. Dating to the Late Cretaceous, this prehistoric specimen is from South Dakota.
