Hell Creek Formation
Bowman County, North Dakota, USA
7 x 5.5 x 2.5 inches (17.78 x 13.97 x 6.35 cm)
The world famous Hell Creek Formation has again produced another amazing Dinosaur specimen in this vertebra from the Late Cretaceous locality. In fairly good condition, this fossilized bone has one unusual characteristic - it was compressed, or more accurately got shifted, during the fossilization process such that it is offset giving the piece a very interesting shape. This sizable item measures 7 inches (17.78 cm) at its longest point and is "rock solid" to say the least. Simply put, this is a Dinosaur fossil that looks like a bone, feels like a fossil, and will capture any imagination. It is an incredible vertebra. Enough said.

It would indeed have been much simpler to work with a local auction house, and we had local options. But we never once regretted going with Heritage.View More Testimonials
