DescriptionAmmonite on Stand
While this large Ammonite is certainly impressive simply as a fossil specimen, its presentation with the huge ancient shell displayed on a custom metal stand has enormous decorative appeal. The beautiful, tan fossilized cephalopod is rather complete, with very well-defined "ribbing" over the entire exterior. This aquatic remnant from the Cretaceous is from Agadir, Morocco which is well known for producing incredible specimens of this variety. Ammonites all went extinct approximately 65 million years ago as did the Dinosaurs. The marine creatures were prolific having been found in localities all over the world.
