This exceptional specimen, measuring an impressive 21 inches (53 cm) in diameter, displays the classic planispiral coiling and pronounced ribbing characteristic of the genus, with fine structural detail that reflects both growth and environmental conditions. The shell exhibits a striking contrast of pale calcified surfaces against darker, naturally weathered areas, enhancing the visual depth of the "ribbed" ornamentation.
