A massive and well-prepared specimen of the classic Jurassic Ammonite Arietites bucklandi, notable for its impressive size, strong form, and aesthetic balance. The fine preparation reveals the ribbed shell structure in high relief, highlighting the natural geometry and coiling characteristic of this early cephalopod. Belonging to the phylum Mollusca and class cephalopoda, Ammonites were marine animals possessing coiled external shells similar to those of the modern nautilus. Their fossils are among the most recognizable symbols of life in Earth's ancient seas. An exceptionally large example from Germany's Jurassic strata, combining scientific importance and decorative presence in equal measure.
