Bearpaw Formation
Alberta, Canada
4.37 x 3.52 x 0.91 inches (11.09 x 8.95 x 2.30 cm)
Bright flashes of orange, green, and violet shimmer across this polished slab of Ammolite, revealing the vibrant remnants of an ancient marine Ammonite shell. Cut from material discovered in the Bearpaw Formation of Alberta, Canada, this rare gemstone fossil is prized for its extraordinary iridescence and vivid coloration. Natural fracture lines traverse the surface, forming an intricate mosaic that adds depth and visual texture without detracting from the bold play of color. The piece has been expertly shaped and finished to emphasize its most dynamic features, while retaining the layered character of the original shell structure.
Estimate: $400 - up.
