This most impressive specimen of Ammolite originated from the Bearpaw Formation of Alberta, Canada, a renowned source of gem-quality material derived from fossilized Ammonite shells. Measuring nearly 9 inches (23 cm) in length, the piece has been polished on both sides, revealing a vivid and continuous display of iridescent colors across its surface. Particularly notable is the abundance of rarer blue and purple hues, interwoven with greens, reds, and golds, which shift dynamically with changing light. The surfaces are slick and lustrous, yet retain a natural undulating character, including a prominent raised "knob" along one edge that adds a further dimensional aspect. Thick and substantial in hand, this richly colored example represents top-level Ammolite, combining visual impact with the geological significance of the celebrated organic gemstone.
